I'm confused.
Season 1 was really good. Never a dull moment with Ezra or Sam (either Sam. Tongan Sam's adorable) it was conflicting, exciting, suspenseful... So wtf is going in with season 2 (and that goatie btw, there's no way even John Ibrahim looked that ridiculous in reality).
Am I wrong, or was what I read about John being a producer of this who right? Because it feels like a false vanity project at this point.
None of that stuff in Spain actually happened, the wet colouring-in book guy was not real (surely), and considering we know the series is semi fictional it's hard to tell what they expect us to believe and what they expect us ti find convincing.
Bit of a mess really, it's turned into a corny tough guy drama like Reacher.

Unfunny, preachy and awkward as flubber.
Theres not much more cringe than the preachy attempt at virtue signalling that is You People.
None of the gags were funny because they were tired and overused social tropes trotted out on TikTok on a daily basis. Even for the time You People was made it was a dead and beaten horse.
The intended message was received loud and clear from the start and crammed back down our throats after repeated digestion and defecation, and the intended message didn't even turn out to be the most logical takeaway (which I cannot reveal due to my deep distaste of spoilers).
Maybe it would have been better if the likes of Adam Sandler were behind it. Still not great, but likely better.

Look, some movies just make me feel things, regardless how terrible they are. I loved myself stupid at one quote and can't help by find myself weirdly attracted to Missy.
Adam Sandler's movies are dreadful, we all know it. Doesn't matter when it was made, it's dreadful.
But theyre FUNNY!
Ok a few of them were just plain dreadful AND unfunny (I'm looking at you, Jack n Jill) but come on, some are timeless classics. This isn't one of them, but it's great fun. It's fun to feel intellectually superior to whoever was behind making it and it's fun to catch an unexpected moment that turned out to be 10x funnier than the entire rest of the movie collectively.
It's stupid, it's corny, it's absurd, it's fun Happy Madison.
