My first thoughts while watching were that the drama is delivered well. The casting in these films by David Griffin is spot on. The mom's dialogue setting up the back story for the granddad hit the right family tone. Here comes a heartwarming moment, right?

Now I have a pretty dark sense of humor so what the grandpa started talking you know what I felt? I felt like laughing! The shift the film took there was fantastic. The ending was pretty great too. My critiques would be that the cinematography could be honed better and that the ending footage went by a little fast, I think the presentation there could be drawn out more to reap the rewards of the moment.

Everything is spot on in this - the acting, the cinematography, the script, and the directing. The actors do a great and realistic job and would fit well in a large budget Hollywood film. The way the story comes out through the dialogue is very good. The short is mostly two people talking and yet was far more entertaining than most shorts I have seen. I am VERY interested in seeing a longer form film like a feature from this filmmaker and look forward to seeing more from him.

Great performances from the cast and dramatic direction from Letelier. Cinematography gets the scenes and drama across but doesn't excel at building tone. Well executed especially considering budgetary restraints!
