I haven't read the book the movie is based on. The chance that it also has no relation to Revelation seems pretty likely.
Pretending to lift eschatological ideas from Revelation was a mistake prior to the movie's uninteresting flat trajectory and conclusion.
I have not been entertained by an an M. Night Shyamalan movie yet. His filmmaking that I have witnessed is devoid of empathy.
"Knock at the Cabin" put me in mind of Jordan Peele's "Nope", another unempathic two-dimensional film ... though "Nope" is certainly another example of Hoyte van Hoytema's astonishing cinematography (pardon the digression).

Well-made, well-written film noir. The Walking Target is a nice reminder that the wellspring of film noir is a great journey.
You will be rewarded for appreciating the simplicity of the many early scenes. The movie is lean. The protagonist makes a beeline for his target.
