Tipping Point Australia
I really do appreciate that the Australian version of Tipping Point appears to be much more generous in its Celebrity/Charity episodes.
Not only do they triple the values of the counters instead of double, they also give $3000 for the mystery counters.
With the much higher values I really do like that the unsuccessful players/teams can provide greater funds to the charities they have selected
But as a quiz show I still prefer the original Tipping Point.

Tipping Point Australia
After watching about a dozen episodes over the two seasons so far Steve is not only one of the best players but also one of the most fun to watch.
He seems to be friendly and positive and has a very good breadth of knowledge.
Again I haven't seen all that many players - but it seems the players from Australia aren't as strong in quizzing as those on the original UK version. On the other the Aussies seem to have more personality, but that that could just a difference in the approach and format.

Portrait artist of the year
Different approaches, styles, techniques and mediums but I can appreciate all nine portraits as well as the artists submissions.
It is amazing to me, what each of them was able to create in just a few hours, not only to create a work of art but also to deliver a convincing likeness.
Perhaps with my untrained eye I might have chosen differently with the shortlist and the winner.
It is fascinating for me to get some insight into the artists choices of format, medium, styles and other factors in their approach.
I like the insights of each of the judges but I'm partial to Tai's reactions when he interacts with the artists.
