Hustle is a terrific film with a a really nice performance by the always under used (the late great) Paul Winfield, he and Burt Reynolds work well together and Eddie Albert is scary as the low life "leo sellers". the stunt the one reviewer is talking about re: albino actor falling from high rise while blasting his pistol into camera is the late great, Dar Robinson from Reynolds' other film, "stick" in the early eighties. i'm glad this is on DVD now and finally a Reinold's' film that is letter boxed. i hope they can re-do the other films IE: "white lightning", "gator" and "shamus" in letterbox form especially "gator" cause it was shot in Todd A-O scope.
i agree with the last reviewer that the "the amazing live sea monkeys" were awesome and the success of the show is due to one person in particular, the GREAT BRILLIANT, TALENTED AND "AMAZING", peter pitofsky, THAT DUDE IS THE CURLY OF OUR GENERATION. i can only hope and pray that "the amazing live sea monkeys" will come out on a deluxe DVD edition set with some way coooool extras and i'm sure they got hours of peter pitofsky's hilarious outtakes, that alone is worth the price of the set. please get this out on video now mr. mcnamara or who ever has control...CBS television MAYBE, BUT JUST GET THIS OUT!!!!!!!! oh...the gifted impressionist who does the "jerry lewis', "dean martin" etc. is john mariano, he was a semi regular on "caroline in the city" i loved his character on the show and was miffed why they stopped using him after a few appearances as he surely was one of the most funny when he was in a scene, but then Hollywood never really realizes great talent...with sean macnamara's success as a big feature director maybe he can do a full lengh feature of "the amazing live sea monkeys" only if peter pitofsky comes back and hey make john mariano one of the other sea monkeys...cooooooooool
i also saw "the farmer" when it came out at my marine corp base theatre and was in the process of shipping out on a Med float, needless to say all us "jar heads" went nuts from the first frame to the last. one great scene where the bad guy's looking out the 4th story window and say's, "i love parades" and the farmer's response is, "well then join it..." it's just cool. gary conway really is convincing as the reluctant former war hero as is the rest of the cast. this film came out at the time other lower budgeted revenge flicks where made, ie: the great, "rolling thunder", "walking tall II" etc. i hope they can bring this little gem out on DVD like anchor bay or blue underground DVD companies with cool extras and remember, the farmer doesn't get mad, he gets even...uhhhhhh rahhhhhhh and semper fi...
