I went into *The Twisters* with my expectations firmly in check. With such a visibly low budget, I didn't expect a cinematic marvel-but I always hold out hope for that rare gem, the diamond in the rough. Unfortunately, this film wasn't it.
To be fair, the **plot had promise**, enough to at least keep things moving. But with a story like this, character development is everything. Without compelling emotional anchors, high-stakes moments-like character deaths-land with a dull thud. Sure, it's sad when someone dies, but without depth, the grief stays surface level.
The CGI was... fine. Not terrible, not noteworthy, just another layer of mediocrity. But what really dragged this movie down was the **acting**, which swung between wooden line readings and overdone dramatics. And don't get me started on the storm scenes-if the characters are supposedly trapped in catastrophic weather, why is no one's hair even ruffled? The trees barely moved. That kind of visual laziness undercuts the tension completely.
In the end, *The Twisters* felt more like a gust than a gale-forgettable and inauthentic. Not recommended...

What makes *Echo Valley* resonate so powerfully is its unflinching exploration of a mother's love-even when that love is tested by betrayal, danger, and heart-wrenching choices. Julianne Moore delivers a quietly devastating performance as Kate, a woman living in isolation who's forced to confront the dark consequences of her daughter's actions. Sydney Sweeney plays that daughter with feral intensity, pulling the story into tense, morally murky territory.
What elevates the film isn't just its suspense, but the emotional stakes. The story draws its power from the painful truth that sometimes love doesn't mean agreement or approval-it means standing firm even as your heart breaks. Kate's devotion never wavers, even when her daughter becomes the very source of her turmoil. It's a portrait of maternal instinct pushed to the brink: unconditional love in the face of unthinkable decisions.
*Echo Valley* doesn't offer easy resolutions. But in its final moments, when silence says more than words ever could, it captures something rare and true-love as an act of endurance. 7/10.

*Run All Night* is a gripping action thriller that goes beyond gunfights and car chases-it's a deeply emotional story about the lengths a father will go to protect his child. Liam Neeson delivers a powerful performance as Jimmy Conlon, a former hitman forced to defend his son after he witnesses a murder. The film expertly captures the essence of a father's love-an unwavering, instinctual force that compels him to shield his child no matter the cost.
While society often praises the nurturing nature of mothers, *Run All Night* reminds us of the fierce, protective love that fathers embody. In Jimmy's case, that love means risking everything, even defying his oldest friend and former boss. The stakes are high, the action intense, and the emotional weight undeniable. From start to finish, the film keeps you engaged, balancing heart-pounding tension with raw, genuine sentiment.
With thrilling chase sequences, intense shootouts, and Neeson's signature grit, *Run All Night* is an electrifying ride that doesn't let up. But at its core, it's a father's story-a testament to the enduring strength of parental love. An absolute must-watch.
