I watched this movie several years ago, and liked it. I have just finished watching his Blackwell Ghost series for about the 10th time, and wanted to revisit this film.
I really enjoyed it. As the one "critic" review said, the chemistry between the guys is excellent, and you don't have too many of your annoying FF tropes here.
The Phoenix Lights are a fascinating subject, and to be honest, this is one of the better PL films.
I can't say enough positives about Clay's talents. It is independent directors like him that keep me returning to the found footage well. Clay continues to add to the depth of the well, and along with the Hell House series, makes it worth returning to. He is a rare talent and this was an early film that showed his potential as an actor and director.

I enjoyed it. Again, don't go in expecting a lot, and you won't be disappointed. Some of the dialogue was a little weak in the beginning, but I found that once they made it to the factory, the quality picked up.
Of course, the factory was the heart of the movie, so in this sense, it succeeded. I enjoyed the twist in this, just as I enjoyed the twist in Blood and Honey 2. I felt like it gave the whole movie a well rounded feel.
Like I said, the only real weakness for me was the one dimensional conversations between the bar maid and her boyfriend. DV is very real, but they did not really do anything to his character other than make him a card board cut out of an abuser. They would have been better off just finding an alternative way of getting him into the story.
Nonetheless, an enjoyable film that I do not feel was a waste of my life for an hour or so. What more can you want?

This is a film that lingers in the mind. It is a really good film, with a unique take on the virgin birth story, with obvious religious overtones.
What I find refreshing about this film is the quality of the acting. Hollie Sullivan, who plays Emily, the lead, is amazing. She is incredibly believable and likeable as the lead, fully capturing the breadth of emotions a person might feel in such a circumstance as hers. The dynamics between the parents and Emily (Hollie) are remarkably spot on. The alcoholism of the mother, her overbearing fear and frustration with the situation, as well as the father's attempt to mediate between the two women in his life is also spot on. As a counselor and pastor, I found the dynamics to be painfully accurate at times.
Regardless of the conspiratorial aspects, which are really good and different, this is a well done film that is sadly underappreciated. I hope Hollie Sullivan does more in the future. Her resume is unfortunately brief, but if she did nothing else in her career, this is a phenomenal performance.
