Another film with the cast of like maybe 4 to 5 actors in total. That's less than most plays.
I sincerely hope this is not the future of film. I understand, of course, that the smaller the cast, the lower the budget, but still this is getting ridiculous. When I think about it, the best films and TV shows have a huge cast and feature tons of extras. There are a few exceptions, of course, but they are just that, exceptions.
Otherwise, this film is okay. Decent script, but acting is mediocre at best. And again the small cast gets old-most scenes are like, usually two actors talking in a room together.

Burden of Proof is an outstanding true crime series. I genuinely loved every minute of it and finished all four episodes in one sitting. I would consider on par with some of the best true crime documentaries.
I love how the investigation of this case actually takes place in real time, so we get to watch it unfold as the show was filmed over 7 years. This is an aspect of this series that makes it so compelling, and it is emblamatic of many of the best true crime documentaries. One example that comes to mind would be the Netflix series Making of a Murderer, and also some of the true crime classics like Capturing the Friedmans and The Thin Blue Line.
The production is excellent as it is clear the director and producer are deeply invested in this case, and it is clear that their primary goal is to get to the truth.
The producers go out of their way numerous times to try and track down everyone involved in the case so that they can give them a chance to tell their side of the story in relation to the case. At one point they even manage to track down a person of interest whom the police could not even locate for several years. And the filmmaker's also focus heavily on the family that has literally been torn apart by this tragic case for decades, but they do so in a way that is both objective and compassionate.
On top of that, this case turns out to be a huge mystery, with twists and turns that you will not see coming, and a motley crew of potential suspects.
Burden of Proof will tug at your hearstrings, but it is very entertaining because it covers such a fascinating mystery of a case. I was hooked after watching the first 15-20 minutes and did not stop watching until I had binged all four episodes.
Highly recommended.

Oh my gosh, I just watched this film, and I am truly blown away--this film is a masterpiece. Truly a work of art, and like some of the best films of all time, I have found myself not being able to stop thinking about it for days after watching it.
Where do I begin? The film itself is probably a drama, but the bank heist scenes are insane. I have never said this about another film in my life, but this film is the first film I would compare to my favorite film of all time, Heat. This is a different film--that is probably why it has not received as much attention, that and its poorly chosen US title. The biggest difference is this film is set in Europe, and it is more of a drama.
The cinematography and filmmaking displayed in this film are simply fantastic. And of course the acting is phenomenal, especially of course from the two lead roles. I am sure everyone is well aware of their impressive resumes, so there is no need for me to regurgitate that info, but I cannot write a review of this film without mentioning the impressive acting. Both the lead actor and actress are two of the best in the world right now, literally, and both at the peak of their careers.
If you are even considering watching this film, just try it, and trust me, just watch it--you will be blown away.
