While this would have done just as nicely as a DVD extra (not that Lee Mack seems to hold much weight by DVD releases - no series of 'Not Going Out' has been released on physical media since the 7th series), it's still an awful lot of fun to...well, see the cast go wrong.
I don't know quite why it's so appealing to see actors mess up, perhaps it's a chance to see behind the curtain a little, but there's lots of nice moments here.
I liked that some care had been taken with this, as we do get some new linking material between all the clips.
Overall, 'Not Going Out' is still one of the best shows on telly, and it's good to see them having fun whilst making it.

Look, Tim Vine does what he does. If you haven't worked out his style of comedy by this point, or you know that you don't like it, you'll find absolutely nothing here to alter your opinion.
I think I prefer him in small doses. A whole hour of puns being thrown at you, assisted by wacky props (of course), does get a bit wearying/samey after a while.
Vine constantly looking down the camera becomes a bit smug too.
However, Vine is from a dying breed - an old-school style of comedy that doesn't rely on sex or vulgar language to pepper his script to make it 'funnier'.
So for what alone I say well done to him.
