This movie is a story full of lies that brought more hope to the Jews living in the Ghetto. Jakob was the one being outside after curfew and he had to report to the Police, and after walking into the station he heard some news on the Radio. He thought that it was good news that the Russians were coming closer. He could not m=keep that to himself so he went and told this to one of his friends who was not supposed to say anything. After a short while the whole Ghetto was talking about those news. Jakob saw that everybody was feeling much better so he continued to tell lies about the news. This is a movie that gets better and better as it moves along. It also gives hope to the Jewish people in the Ghetto and Jakob was having good intentions but it just complicated itself more and more.

Girls in Uniform is a feminist classic.This film is one of the hidden themes of early German cinema. For a movie that was made in 1931 the structure was very good. Light is used to indicate the repression of the girls. The girls were in a world full of darkness by the authorities of the boarding school. The interesting thing was that the main focus was on the relationship between Manuela and her teacher, there were other relationships too but they ware not the main focus. My feeling is that none of those girls were happy in that school but they learned to handle the situation and simply to live with it.

This film was given many awards just for showing the truth about the Jews and Nazis and sometimes we really need the truth to see what was going on at times we only read about. The name Schindler was very known then and also today is he remembered. The movie was made with care and just to tell us the importance of seeing the Jewish side and what they had to go through in the Holocaust.

The movie is in black and white but some color was put in because those pictures or situations should be noticed and it comes back throughout the movie.

The whole structure of the movie was really good because after viewing the movie we get a clear picture of what was going on in the World War II. By being inspired by a true story makes it more believable and we can appreciate it more.
