Born in Liverpool, UK. Earliest childhood memory was in 1977, I was 4, and it was Star Wars.
Grew a huge love of film from age of 12.
Moved to Sheffield to study at 18.
Stayed here ever since.
Happily married, with a wondeful son and daughter. Work as a manager in one of the top ten cinemas in the UK.
Been reviewing films on my site since 2001 now.
Now, to follow the trend of other film buffs....
My Top 20 Films
Erm...like I can pick 20 out of the thousands I own on DVD! I don't understand how you can seriously rank one amazing film over another amazing film. How can Psycho be considered better than, say, Fight Club when they are completely different genres? Top films polls are pointless!
Best Directors (in no particular order)
Scorcese, Spielberg, Rodriguez, Tarantino, Hitchcock, Fincher, Ang Lee, Sam Raimi, Chris Nolan, PT Anderson......I'm sure there are more. I'm a firm believer that a director has all the power over a film's outcome, and a strong director can spin gold from garbage, and make weak actors look good. Take Punch Drunk Love (PT Anderson) for example. Adam Sandler is normally garbage, but Anderson shows that underneath the crap-comic is an actor struggling to come out.
WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT.....
My reviews are MY OPINION. To PM me with abuse because you don't like what I say is a waste of your time. You ain't going to impress anyone. If you feel like DISCUSSING why I feel a certain way, let me know in a mature manner. Abuse is just childish.
