Early work from the Tempe entertainment guys! This is why they re released it under the Bad Movie Police series. They know it is bad!! You will absolutely have a blast watching this really bad bad bad movie! the lead is EXTREMELY bad! the action is ludicrously bad! and the rest of the film is just awful! Awful funny that is!!! If you are a fan of Tempe then see this one! if not stay clear of it!! Since this is for people who know how to enjoy a bad film.
An astonishing achievement from the man who brought us Onmyouji. If you are into the history of the samurai, and not only the swordplay, then this movie is for you! It tells in flashback about two different samurai, Saito and Yoshimura who are serving the same Shogun. Saito dislikes Yoshimura because he thinks he is not a "true" samurai.
I am not going to tell you all about this movie. Go see for yourself! This is about the philosophy of the samurai as much about the world outside changing a country where tradition is everything!

If you see this one for Chiba - don't!! If you wanna see an action/martial arts flick like a Sonny Chiba movie - then see it!! It has eye gouging and blood enough to please a Chiba fan. And Etsuko Shihomi is a tough chick and kicks ass very well!!!! It is rare to see female action stars in Japan - so indulge yourself to a treat! The fights are good and the story almost nonexistent, but it is great entertainment for a no-brainer evening - and she is actually quite good-looking, so an extra bonus there!!
