Nicholle Tom (of Beethoven fame) is excellent as a 14-year-old pupil at a high school. You can see she just has a crush on him, where his feelings are much creepier towards her. But the fact that she was half willing to sleep with him, doesn't mean that he raped her. I'm sure people who have been in that situation will feel differently however. All in all a good cast helped make this movie point out several facts and good important points to be made. The fact that it wasn't graphical in the sexual scenes made it more enjoyable. As most movies concentrate on just sex. Whereas 'Indecent Seduction' focused on the emotional sides of both the pupil - who at such a young age is feeling vulnerable enough already, and the teacher. The end result was what I expected. So for people who haven't seen it, I won't spoil the ending. You can laugh, cry and sympathesie with all characters. So I recommend anyone to watch it, and see for yourself whether or not I am right with my comments.
I watched the first series from the end of 2002 till early 2003 and found the show hilarious in places. More of a situation comedy I think. Each episode related to different topics. Which makes a change from constant lines in more popular comedy shows - that aren't really that funny. Although from reading Sean Maguire's (Euan Pierce) site I was distraught to hear that it had been pulled from Warner Brothers altogether. It'd be interesting if we over in the UK could get to see the 2nd and final series, because it'd be unfair to both the actors and the viewers otherwise not to. If it was up to me I'd still keep the series on - just to give it bit more of a chance for the viewers to adapt to it. Never mind, maybe if people demand it alot then it'll return. Otherwise Off Centre will remain just another comedy series that failed to captivate audiences all over. I hope Sean and the other cast members find something just as good to make up for such a sad loss.
I really began to like this show - but channel 5 whipped it away last year. Apparently because of poor ratings. Surely Family Affairs doesn't gain more viewers - and has slumped. I was really beginning to get hooked on it when the Amber/Rick and Amber's cousin Becky fitted into the equation with her baby (which Amber thought was hers). Crazy storylines - but it got me gripped. I was sorry to see it go. It's a shame I don't have satellite - because it's being shown on that instead of terrestrial tv. I'd ask one of u guys in the states to tape it - but our video tapes are different in format, so it would therefor not play. So I am beaten till I either get a satellite dish or digital tv.
