Sure the Simpsons is a great show, but Futurama is totally different. The plots are so off the wall and the cast really seems like they're having a great time - I think it's pure genius. DiMaggio is awesome and Billy West is even funnier than he was at WBCN. I have a feeling this show is just too smart for network TV dullards.

Here's another solid concept that fell victim to the whims of the great unwashed of American television audiences. A truly interesting concept, coupled with some solid acting by Ulrich and Macfayden made "Miracles" one of the freshest new shows of the 2002-2003 prime-time television season. Alas, probably because there was no one getting "voted off the Island" on it - it got voted off the Island pretty quickly. I will always rue the fact that the ultimate plot was never allowed to be revealed and the nature of the "God is nowhere" phenomenon was never explained to viewers. Like a succulent hybrid of "X-files" and "Millennium," "Miracles" promised the building intrigue of a huge, unraveled conspiracy theory and the creepy twisted irony of religion gone terribly awry. A real shame it was cancelled, especially while pap like "Big Brother" hangs around longer than the lunch special at Luby's. USA Network was brave enough to pick up "Monk" - I wish they'd have done the same for "Miracles." It'd be awesome for the Sci-Fi Network. Oh well, I expect no less from an obtuse network like ABC - maybe they can flog a couple more cheesy seasons out of that tired old "Practice" - but I doubt it.

Very touching story about life, friendship and time. Actress Kelly Reilly is truly dreamy. A sappy movie guys can appreciate. After the death of their friend (Michael Caine)- 3 close chums and the deceased's son start on a road trip to the ocean to scatter his ashes and thus carry out his last wish. On the way, each the friends, his son and wife, (through numerous flashbacks) reflect on the unique relationship they shared with him.
