If you like action films that require a little bit of thought then watch this one. I do not understand? Why do people always keep saying that Roger Moore was too old to make this film??? This was a good Bond film. It kept anyone with a good mind entertained. Moore is suave and entertaining, and as always Christopher Walken is great as a creepy villain that is hording microchips and the 80's end of disco singer/ actress Grace Jones is great as his own personal assassin. This film is proof positive that Moore still has it. It is like an episode of Dynasty and a Bond film combined. This is A great film with a taste of the 80's played in. Glad Moore did one MOORE !!!
I am surprised there is so much negative buzz around this film. I found it to be well acted and well done. I felt that the villain and his sister in the film were chillingly scary. Bronson acts as natural as can be and is more realistic and cool than today's action film stars. The film did have its quirks ( Was the daughter's voice dubbed in ?) But hearing the voice on the videos about the doctor, and the opening scene give you a chill. This film is no more violent than those of today, so I don't understand the criticism. The film has a good cast and keeps your attention, although I wish there was more of the Dr.'s sister in the film. Those of you that like action and vengeance should definitely check this one out.
I agree that the change of directors caused a change in quality of the film, but all in all this is one of my favorite westerns. It is thought provoking and realistic. Bronson's acting comes off as natural and he understood who Chino was. His relationship with the young boy seems odd, but not forced. The scenes with Jill Ireland are amusing and show the difference in culture between Europe and the old west. Filmed in Europe, there are a few quirks that sort of make you laugh, the Native Americans and the town seem a little hokey, but the film remains enjoyable. The ending bothered me, but thats what made this a good film. I reccommend this to anyone who wants to sit and relax to a good western.
