Harris uses dating apps to meet women but then just uses them, with no intention of a long-term relationship. He meets Riley via an online app and does his usual love 'em and leave 'em routine. However, she wants something more long-lasting and takes it badly when Harris avoids her.

A B-grade film that ends up slightly better than it first appears. The basic plot is very familiar - playboy uses girl, she loses it when she realises, bad things happen to him. Direction is similarly uninspiring and while Lili Simmons is fairly good as Riley most of the performances aren't that great, though aren't terrible either.

However, towards the end the film does go down an unpredictable path or two and there's a great twist near the end, making the hum-drumness of most of the remainder of the movie worth getting through.

Ultimately it's more miss than hit but it's better than initially expected.

I enjoyed Season 1 of Fallout. The story was intelligent and well-constructed and the characters engaging. This was all to my surprise I am generally not into films or series based on video games.

The plot seemed tight and closed-ended enough for the show to be a mini-series but S1 left quite a lot up in the air, resulting in S2.

The first episode of S2 was interesting enough, picking up where S1 left off. However, it also introduced new sub-plots and characters, none of which seemed very important to the main plot and making the direction of the story a bit unclear. The Lucy and Ghoul adventures were also starting to feel quite repetitive.

Episode 2 largely gets things back on track. The new sub-plots are largely limited and the strained relationship between Lucy and The Ghoul finally reaches a breaking point, changing the cycle of their adventures. We also get to see what Maximus is up to.

After E1 left me worried what lay in store for Fallout, E2 has me eagerly awaiting the next episode.

Lucy and The Ghoul are on the trail of Lucy's father but first must escape from a gang that has captured The Ghoul. Through flashbacks we see the lead-up to the nuclear war that devastated Earth, including the innovations and power of Robert House, the wealthiest man in the United States.

I enjoyed Season 1 of Fallout. I'm generally not into films or series based on video games as the creators/directors tend to assume that all viewers are fans of the game and thus assume a degree of prior knowledge. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Fallout does not rely on prior knowledge and stands firmly on its own two feet.

More than this, it is simply a great drama series. Plot is intelligent and well-constructed and characters are engaging.

Season 2 picks up from where we left off in Season 1 with Lucy and the Ghoul's quest to find Lucy's father and The Ghoul's family. We are also introduced to new information from the past, possibly related to the reasons for the nuclear war.

While Lucy and The Ghoul's adventures are quite entertaining, they are starting to feel a bit predictable. In addition, the flashback stuff is a bit confusing, and probably deliberately so on the writers' parts.

Hopefully later episodes make things clearer but right now, while still good, the series doesn't quite have the momentum or clarity it had in Season 1.
