A decent idea for a teen movie and alright acting but the story is simplistic, almost naive.
The plot points are weak and are almost all ineffective, nothing is followed through.
The leading girl barely even plays football/soccer in the movie, sure it is realistic but it makes her change being less important.
The sports scenes are embarrassing, not a single player can shoot the ball and there are no fakes and dribbles in the game what so ever. Goals are only scored because the goalkeepers are sieves.
Bad knowledge of the game, little to no chemistry between actors. There is no suspense in the movie what so ever.

Trapped in time, ground hog day, playing around with opportunity, those are side things in this movie.
What really counts here is the journey of Bill Murray's character, Phil, comically having the same name as the weather knowing rodent because of his importance to others in the beginning of the movie.
The journey turns him from a man doing things to help himself into doing good deeds to help others.
Especially touching is when he tries to help the old man escape his destiny.
Only real downside here is the poor acting and characterizing of the other characters. MacDowell especially puts in a poor effort due to bad directing. The story does not show enough of the other characters. Otherwise a very good flick, which I didn't except when zapping around the channels.

Never have I've seen a movie as dull and boring on such an interesting subject than this. Honestly I'd rather see a tribute to Jack Black than seeing this crap again.
Mediocre acting from what I guess in the words of Americans are "world class" "actors". Halle Berry especially stiff and colourless.
Good effects is the only thing that made me not through my guts out when watching these movie.
If you want to see this, reconsider! Go see something better, like college flicks of the thirties or anything really.
Plot was full of holes and stumbling. Casting was decent, considering it was north American actors.
Not scary enough for adults, not tacky enough for teenagers and not cutesy-wootsey for kids.
The background movie of our lives if we want to cease to exist.
