Bunch of people who have never heard of the worda consent or boundary meet each other to constantly, repeatedly play and trick the main character and it is supposed to be a happy, romantic, holiday movie.
I stopped counting how many times the female lead said no, and then people didn't listen or respect it - and she is already a people pleaser who often says yes when she wants to say no anyway, so you do the math.
They are all either trying to be supportive or do a romantic/thoughtful gesture but really, it is incredibly disrespectful and the repetitive nature makes it borderline abusive.
It wasn't just the romantic interest either. The best friend, Ms. Cora, others... Aren't we tired of this? I sure know I am.
The two stars were out of respect for the cast and crew, really.
