This Superman movie is simple, fun, and knows exactly what it wants to be. If you're expecting something gritty or deep, this probably isn't for you. But if you're in the mood for an old-school superhero ride with heart and humor, it delivers.
The action is big, and chaotic in the best way. It really feels like metahumans are going all out, smashing through cities and throwing real punches. It's definitely cartoony. The emotions, characters, and villains are all over the top-but that's part of the charm. It's also lighthearted and often overly silly. The humor might not land for everyone, but it keeps things moving and fun. And it's also really fast, the movie barely ever slows down.
It does not fall for the typical subverting of the few emotional scenes with jokes. There are genuine scenes of heart and sadness that are left alone, some of the best scenes actually. But it is peppered with a lot of humor throughout.

F1 is a great follow up to Top Gun and will clearly be compared to that movie in many aspects. It is a solid experience, especially if you love racing. The action on the track is fast, intense, and shot in a way that really pulls you right on the track and makes it feel like you're right there in the car.
The two leads do a great job, and there's more emotion and character depth than you might expect. The story isn't anything new. It's pretty predictable and follows a path you've seen before but it's still enjoyable.
Overall, it's not groundbreaking, but it looks amazing and delivers where it matters most.

28 Years Later proves that this franchise still has something new and terrifying to offer. The filmmaking here is absolutely stunning: raw, intense, and visually innovative. It's both beautiful and brutal, elevating the experience beyond typical genre that just makes it feel like it's pushing the genre forward.
What's especially refreshing is that the story doesn't play it safe. Instead of leaning old characters or recycling old ideas, it takes bold narrative swings, delivering something genuinely unique for a long-running genre. The plot itself is relatively simple, but it's executed with such creativity and emotion that it feels powerful and deliberate.
As always, the infected are just as terrifying as the series is known for: fast, relentless, and full of dread-inducing energy. 28 Years Later is a sharp, stylish evolution of the franchise that respects its roots while pushing things forward in all the right ways.
