On a Friday night ( yesterday ) I was searching and this came up, so I just decided to give it a go rather than keep on searching. DOH !
Last night I got so bored and I suppose tired that I went to bed halfway through this movie. I awoke to a wet Saturday morning ( no not an accident in bed, lots of rain around here in Australia ) and for a few minutes I couldn't recall what I had been watching. ( Must've been rivetting right ) Well with nothing to do for a while I decided to continue, and after being quite bored again I came to the reviews here. I chose to look at all the one star reviews and I have to agree with the sentiment expressed, boring.
I've got another 35 minutes left and I shall persevere, but yeah it's pretty damn dull.
It gets two stars due to decent acting and nice older cars. Nothing flashy in that department but I do like old American tin.
Ok I've met my minimum needed and don't really have anything else to say, oh hang on, what the hell are all the 10 or 9 or 8 star reviews all about ? Like seriously !?!?
As another reviewer mentioned "Project Runway", I found myself seeing what that was, well I'd rather pull out my eyeballs than watch that, but anyway as per my title, I will look at more 1 star reviews in future before committing to sitting in front of the box for two hours. Cheers, or not.

Ok so yes I left it reeeeaaaaal late. Of course I recall the hope back in the day. I'm not one for hype, I haven't watched Twin Peaks, saw a handfull if X Files back when it aired.
However Lost keeps popping up on articles recommending shows. The last one was on some website called Collider. It touted the show as the number 8 most intense Sci Fi show ever.
Hmmmm ok. Intense, not sure about that, a little perhaps. Sci Fi, where ?
I love Sci Fi and time travel stuff, I'm not seeing any Sci Fi.
Ok I'll admit I only got as far as episode 7, but I'm just not feeling it.
Stupid people making stupid decisions.
Heck there's some kind of huge monster out there and it pours down with rain randomly, and the sun is very intense, but hey lets just all hang out at the beach and not even think about shelter. Seriously !? Oh there's plenty of on board meals so we will just eat those. Peanut anybody.
Water, OMG we might even need water one day soon.
Ok ok they had that makeshift bath thing that they collected rainwater in but c'mon....... And don't get me started on white clothes.
Clean shaven too, truly a miracle Island.
I mean I had read about the disastrous ending, but delving into the many 1 star reviews on here, it seems apparent that the ending isn't the only flaw.
I've read plenty about it on Reddit also. Theories about what it all means. Some kind of purgatory perhaps where people can redeem themselves and come out the other side better, saved if you will.
Well I'm not giving it another chance, it's bloody boring and bugger all seems to happen in the space of each episode.
Ooh a punch up here, some drug taking there, a man in a suit just over there, what is a polar bear doing here. OMG so wild.
And yeah flashbacks about......things.
Well I'm off to find something interesting to pass the time, might give Twin Peaks a watch.
What's in that, a man with a stick or something, maybe I'll wait a while longer.

That was a really entertaining movie and isn't that what movies are about ! No it's not a video game, go play your game if that's what you want to do.
In fact go and make a game, then adapt it into a perfect movie, then get back to me.
I never play video games so I don't know how far it strayed from the game, nor do I care.
The acting was mainly fine and I loved Tina, I thought she played a wonderful kookie character. She is confident, childlike, dangerous and fun. What's not to like !
Like others have stated, the actors seemed to be enjoying themselves. And no most of it wasn't anything that we haven't seen before in a dystopian sci fi movie, so what ! Show me something, anything that's totally original these days. Not much I'm sure.
As a non fan these days of J Black, I didn't know he was the robot and I'm glad about that. It was annoying at times but provided a bit of comic relief.
Anyway it was nice escapism and I'm glad I ignored the pathetic oh too negative reviews by children. It's a movie, not a life altering journey. Take it for what it is and enjoy.
