I tend not to believe the critics so much because their value in films differ from mine. However, I must agree with their harsh critcizing bombardment on this film they call Gigli...or is it Geely?
Yeah so I heard Ebert and everyone else said this movie was a bunch of crap...but I keep thinking...It can't be that bad, everyone must have been sick of the stars' overexposure. It's hard to believe that such fine actors such as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez would choose to be in such a flop of a movie. Throughout their whole careers, do they not see a flop when they see one? Either they are both totally stupid or just totally psyched to work together, who knows?
So I gave the film a chance and watched it. This is one of the worst films I have ever seen in my life! And believe me..I've seen a lot of bad films! There are some good times like Brian rapping and the fact that Jennifer Lopez couldn't be more beautiful...but whoo...that cannot prevail how terribly bad this film is. But you can't really blame the actors...the storyline is horrible...and the writing!!! Ahhhh....no words could make me gag harder! Terrible Terrible dialogue!
So you can't really say the film was poorly reviewed because of the major publicity of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez...dude that's just their just excuse! Hey! Their careers are tainted because they were blind enough to even agree to be in the film. You must blame Martin Brest! I'm sure he's a talented director and writer with such hits as Joe Black...but man oh man...did he bomb with this film!
Wow...Gigli really sucked! Bottom line...

This movie was sexy, yet a little disturbing.
Heather Graham portrays an American who recently moved to London. She has a nice, safe relationship with her boyfriend, an Englishman who is very reliable. You can tell that they are both comfortable with each other, but because of that their romance has died off and has made things quite boring. One day, she encounters Adam, a mysterious man on the street. The looks they give each other are lustful and very intense. What chemistry! The looks itself were sexy and erotic! And can I just say...Joseph Fiennes is one helluva sexy man! Oh my goodness! He can play the hopeless romantic in Shakespeare in Love and the dangerous rugged type in this film.
Well anyway...they get involved in a very obssessive, sexual relationship. They get right down to business...the scenes are like whoa! Sexy Sexy Sexy! Eventually, all the lust turns into love. However, they know very little about each other which drives Graham's character, Alice, mad. Unexpected secrets are revealed...and believe me! they BIG secrets...which starts to crumble their affair.
I liked this movie a lot! It's not Oscar worthy...but its worth your time. This movie has a lot to offer...romance, sex, lust, drama, thrill, and most of all...entertainment!

What is wrong with today's horror flicks?
Ok...the good...I love Eliza Dushku...I really do. I think she's got a raw edge that many other young actresses lack. But I haven't learned from my mistakes: even good actresses star in sucky movies. Did I not remember the pain I suffered from watching Dushku's Soul Survivors? I guess not...I give movies chances.
The bad...the whole damn movie! Whoopy frickin doo! A bunch of dumb twenty somethings get lost in the woods. Yet, they barely freak out. They just decide to make out with each other. Well, here's the catch! Three deformed weirdos are out to get them! A lot of them die...a lot of them run stupid...Emanuelle Chriqui was sooo annoying! Anyone concur? There's a lot of blood, gore, guts...all the typical horror flick stuff.
I know there's plot and its an interesting concept...but the movie was just bad. Basically, I wasn't entertained...I felt like I wasted my time. And you know a movie is bad if you felt that way.
And some advice for Dushku! Please stick with TV! or some film similar to Tru Calling and Buffy...that's your style.
