We went to see this with hopes of seeing a film about a dystopia civil war, you know, much like the reviews showed. Unfortunately the trailer makes this appear 100% more exciting than it is. But it was fairly evident that the story had no real narrative, teamed with one dimensional characters, teamed with a highly predictable ending. Snoozefest only interrupted by the odd gunfire.
The only thing of note was the exceptional cinematography, which was some of the most impressive I've seen, with modern day Apocalypse Now vibes, and the sound design and score was equally as tight.
But, no war, no real story, and the president siege at the end was beyond childish!
But it doesn't matter how good something is if it's BORING. Even the people sat around us in the cinema were moaning about wasting an hour and a half of their lives, and we felt the same. We skipped the pub afterwards and went home to bed, £40 lighter and fed up.
And can someone explain why wigs in 2024 are worse than they were 40 years ago?

While I enjoyed the narrative and watched it with intrigue, I do wish they had increased the font size of the on screen text! Even on a 65" TV it was still tiny and I found it really difficult to read (not all of have laser focus unfortunately).
I have to say as well that it felt really contrived that the Sal character got his end away with so many women half his age, a bit ick!
With those two points out the way, it was good to see something refreshingly different and with tech development as it is, it does feel like this Minority Report type of life could be on the cards one day.
I'll order my implant with A BIG FONT!
