As many have mentioned, it's a Matrix-ish plot. I love such mind-benders, but this fails on so many levels.

Concept: a 7 or 8 Script: 3-ish - many many poor dialogue choices Plot/Story structure: 3-ish - fails the concept Acting: Okay-ish. Uneven 6?

Directing: Okay-ish - uninspired 5?

Soundtrack: amateurish - 3 Sound editing: poor - 3 - whispered dialogue and music that is way too loud. Long stretches with no score at all.

5 stars out of 10 mostly for the concept.

I'm very hard to please. I put off watching this until this month Most stuff these days is just mediocre at best with a bright spot here and there but this is an intellectual's dream. It's flawless from top to bottom in every respect. It starts out a bit slowly and steadily picks up steam until the amazing final episode.

Every time I expected a normal plot point, it surprised me. Every time. Smart and unpredictable and yet it hit all the right notes.

Anya was amazing. The script is top notch. The costumes, the sets, and the locations were perfect. In cases like this the directing can be overlooked because everything is so excellent, but the direction deserves applause for bringing it all together so expertly.
