this was a very good movie and an even better book. i would love to see it come out on DVD. the two circus kids try to save an elephant from being put down by running away with it. Traveling by night (cause elephants are hard to hide) they make their way towards safety and survival for their large friend! it was thrilling! i think they showed it on TV once (maybe they made it into a mini series or something) a touching story of love and compassion, adventure and intrigue. It made for a great family movie. i recommend it to anyone who loves animals, or animal stories. especially to those who have kids who also love that type of movie or show.

this show was a favorite of mine as a child, but like many children i never got to see all episodes. i was so upset when it went off air and really wish that it would air again. i would still watch it, or even buy DVD/VHS of it! a year or so ago it did air on a french channel and i watched a few, but as a non-bilingual person i couldn't follow well. it went off air on that channel too. it actually had a great story line of a teen girl who had all the issues of a regular teen in her own time, but also had the added responsibility of saving her family from being wiped out of existence by an evil sorceress in the past. as the story continued you were gradually informed of the tale of woe that left robin and Marian trapped in a magic spell, unable to escape the sorceress Brendan and carry on the family line. as a result the family history was slowly being erased and it became a race against time to save herself and her ancestors from being wiped out of existence all together along with the tales of robin hood.
