Stellar film location which attracts me to the series. Bamber's character is fun to watch whereas the main character, Camile, is wholly unlikeable--arrogant and equally condescending to all except to her gay sidekick. The script could have been so much better with the scenery and other characters. Editing is a rough cut, too. Mess ups throughout.
I harken back to one of my favorites, To Catch A Thief with the views of Provence, which can take your breath away, having been there many times. All one needs for a hit series in this setting is a mediocre screenplay, not that I'm calling Hitchcock's mediocre. But Camile insults her CSIS staff, her boss, (don't know why she isn't fired), her father, witnesses, victims, her partner in solving the overall mystery, waitstaff, you name it. No one is excluded from her haughty mean streak. She even called a kind waitress honey.....
Why would the writers want to color her mean? I don't get it.....hope they soften Camile or this season may be the last.

While the film location, protagonist, and Dom are watch worthy, the two J characters are garish caricatures who detract from the series. Surely Ms Lindsey has given them enough screen time in the first two seasons.
Their drivel makes no sense failing to fit into the plots and ensemble, and their physicality resembles in a tortured way, the 70's, which that era doesn't deserve. I have to fast forward through their scenes. Supplant their characters with more Cooper-like ones to keep the fence sitters for a third season.
P S The opening music is far too dated-sappy-which doesn't go with the mystery theme.
