Marketing for this movie completely fooled me, I had no idea I was about to watch the greatest videogame movie of all time:
+ Vague mission briefing from morally ambiguous characters (can you trust them?).
+ Dual female / male protagonists.
+ Romance options.
+ Full on Tower defense scene.
+ Multiple enemy variations including boss fights.
+ Ammo scarcity. Run out of ammo? No problem, switch to your melee weapon.
+ Audio / Video logs that explain the lore.
+ Multiple set pieces where you can totally envision a quick time event (QTE) in game.
If you're a gamer you'll love this movie. Especially if you're a fan of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Sniper Elite, and Splinter Cell Conviction.

This show expertly walks the line of comedy and Drama similar to American Vandal. You don't need to be a fan of League of Legends to enjoy this show, as they have a character that serves as the audience in this regard and gets things explained to him.
NHL had an opportunity to show a bit of personality here. Instead it's the same predictable recycled jargon NHL is known for. Netflix's F1 Drive to Survive, and even previous seasons of All or Nothing, are excellent references for a great sports docuseries. Those series are successful because of the unprecedented access, full transparency, and candid interviews. NHL is know for its shrouded secrecy and generic interview answers - that doesn't change with this documentary. Leafs come across like they're watching what they're saying on camera the entire time. There was lots of potential here to delve deeper, such as players being cut or sent to the minors, and the scrutiny the team received after its playoff loss. No one is vulnerable here which unfortunately doesn't make for compelling TV, instead the series resembles a Leafs promo developed by their PR team.
