This is one of the best low budget indie horror movies I have seen in the last several years. It has an interesting plot that gives enough lore to keep you interested without dumping copious amounts of unnecessary information on you at the end. The cinematography is also exceptionally good which I didn't expect because the movie looks like it was filmed on a modified iPhone from the look of the filters, especially in the wooded scenes. There is a heavy focus on making the shots artistically symmetrical which does wonders for setting the scene on a limited set. My only complaint is that the dialogue is kind of awful. It's delivered like it's a stage play. It's the same for every actor so it had to be an artistic choice and you will notice it, but at that point it's just splitting hairs.

Want a solid, old school creeper film with a heavy focus on the stupid side of creepy? This is the movie. It's a cult classic for a reason and it does well with achieving the balance that these older less scare heavy horror movies aim for. That being said though if you've seen one you've seen them all. This era of horror is a one trick pony for the most part and barring a few very select things that broke the mold, you are always in for campiness when you choose one of these. Give it a watch. Warwick Davis is good. If there is something newer or had any sense or a budget, you can go with that instead and not be worried.
