If a movie is supposed to take you to an interesting place and hold your attention until the credits roll, then Subway wins the award. It doesn't have a plot that makes total sense, but what it does have is atmosphere, solid acting, and a great 80s soundtrack. The cinematography is rough yet stylish, which adds to the film's charm. If you like movies that have a cult-classic quality, then I recommend watching Subway. It's not as spectacular as Luc's later works (Nikita, Leon, Fifth Element), but it is unique and fun. It manages to be strangely bad and good at the same time. In other words, artistic excellence.
I think this movie was ok. However, I noticed something as I was watching it. The characters of Billie and Thea. They were great as Bill & Ted's children. A better plot based on them was there.
Example: Bill & Ted, now older, face a new threat, but realize they can't write the song to save the world. So, they entrust this task to their daughters. They travel through time, rounding up historical musicians to form a supergroup, and get into some tricky situations along the way. In the end, they write the song, bringing the movie to an epic conclusion.
Face the Music didn't quite capture the magic of the first two movies, but it was still entertaining. The air guitars, the return of the Grim Reaper, and the nod to Rufus were nice. I'd still recommend watching it.

When I first saw this movie as a child, I loved it as did other kids at my school. It had so many funny moments. It wasn't until years later that I learned how many negative reviews it had. I'm not sure why that is. This movie was made to make kids laugh, and I believe it succeeded in doing that. I still find it hilarious even today. If you watch this movie without expectations, then you might enjoy it too. It's silly, but there's always room for silliness in comedy. I'll always consider it a classic. So, make yourself some spaghetti with man-sized meatballs and go watch The Master of Disguise right now.
