The actors did the best they could with the script they had. The opening scene was great! Loved the tension and the wild set up. But we never got a break from these one dimensional characters. There were several unnecessary scenes that didn't add much to the storyline. This movie had the potential to be really great but we never got to see these characters evolve i.e. Dallas was just mad the whole movie. From top to bottom, just mad. Give the characters depth and the audience would enjoy the rollercoaster more. The same goes for Dallas' mom. I wanted to see more backstory or motive behind her callousness. Give us depth!!!
This is a fun one. Love that it's set in the 80s. This movie is a cross between Little Shop of Horror and Jennifer's Body. It's campy and fun and sadly reminds me too much of the first and last time I got a sew in.
Julia Garner is the reason why I watched this movie. Love her. Always will. The shots in the movie were great and there were some excellent tense moments. However, this movie is a depiction of white male privilege as if we already don't know it exists. It's annoying but not surprising. Especially the HR scene. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to take away from it. Other than yelling at the screen to tell the assistant to "find another job girl!"
