I'm pretty underwhelmed by almost every episode. Why was there an extra super long episode for side characters we don't hardly even know? I thought I was watching Brokeback Mountain. There was hardly any on-screen zombies shown at all the entire season run. There's no new ground covered at all either story-wise when it comes to the main characters. All of what we see is already shown during in-game cutscenes that you may as well just play the game.
They treat Ellie like a helpless 5 year old even though she can gun people down on her own. Not surprising since it takes place in America where they're all under the impression that teen girls can't do anything right on their own. 14 year old girls are perfectly fine on their own in other countries and you have to wonder what's America's problem and why they're so absurdly slow to catch on. It's all so very embarrassing for humanity. Screenwriters know nothing about real life. And the makeup artists seemed to be purposefully making Ellie look terrible.

I don't know what it is about Americans but they're constantly living in fear of "bad men everywhere". I don't know how the writer grew up thinking every man in the world is bad and out to get her. It must be those evil pesky 40 year old men who are constantly out to get young girls that are ruining the entire world. I'm sure women did nothing wrong in their lives. Women of course are perfect divine angels who never do anything on the internet all on their own and everything is a man's fault. We've been getting fed the line that there's only bad men on the internet ever since it was invented and there's only bad photographers in Hollywood. I'm also sick of hearing teenagers getting called children like they're 5 years old and know nothing about the world. Americans need to grow up already and stop acting like completely clueless idiots about what their daughters are actually doing.
It at first has the appearance of a light-hearted and more innocent atmosphere, almost like it's masquerading as a family movie. It suddenly turns very dark unexpectedly. Movies have yet to do this properly except on rare occasions. Imagine what it feels like watching a G-rated Disney movie or tv show and then suddenly someone gets shot in the back lying in a pool of their own blood. Such direction is extremely rare. Only a director who knows both sides of the world would know how to do it right. Most movies are very predictable. You can usually tell if most movies are dark or happy right in the opening. This short is very unique. The one girl also looks exactly like Sasha Pieterse's double still to this day. I was watching hundreds of shorts for a few weeks straight and this one easily stuck out.
