While I enjoyed such favorites as "Dad's Army," "Steptoe and Son," "Cannon and Ball" and the like, no comedy series or comedy duo has ever surpassed Morecambe & Wise IMO. I have just returned to the UK after spending 30 years in the USA to accidentally re-discover M&W on YouTube, and what a stroke of luck that was. These guys-bolstered with scripts by Eddie Braben-were consummate professionals having perfected their act by treading the boards. Their timing was immaculate and their characters still laugh-out-loud funny. In fact, I have not laughed as much in a long time. Kudos to them. Their characters had heart and warmth and played perfectly off of each other. I look forward to uncovering more gems from this exceptional duo.
