First of all, this is NOT a family friendly movie. There are some erotic scenes along the way.

The movie has some good visual effects. The history is somewhat different of the normal movies of this genre. The style is calm, relaxed, I would even dare to say quite simplistic in the presentation. This obviously contrasts with the amount of different scenery and stories told in the movie. There is plenty of narrative content, but these "detached" narratives end up splitting the focus away from the main script. I felt like I could not create an emotional connection with the two caracters because their iteractions were quite limited.

Overall, the movie was not great, good narrative content, but felt almost like there was no significant story in the main script. I would not watch it again.

I had these obscure memories from my childhood, about a strange movie, with a somewhat special premises, that one time passed on TV. It was a great afternoon on a holiday and we were just chilling in the sofa watching movies.

This is what this movie represents to me. A memory, that I fondly remember as I watched this movie 10 years later.

The effects are great for the time the movie was made, the history is engaging and there's a emotional moment that I didn't remember but was completelly welcome.

Once again, this movie brings me joy, peace of mind and memories of a childhood I remember with much care.

I remember watching this movie as a kid. It was very entertaining. 10 years after, it surprisingly didn't lost its touch, and it actually made me almost cry this time. Some stuff just gets better the older you get, and although the storyline is what I would consider predictable and standard, the animations are good, the whole atmosphere is great and the feelings the movie evocated are so profound.

I also love the references to traditional Celtic and Scottish culture. I like the message it portrays, the somewhat innovation the movie brought to Disney princess with a more down to earth and less "elegant" princess. I would have liked to see a second movie.
