What a great miniseries! It's brilliant for all the setup and execution it entails. Their performances, thought-provoking messages, and arguments are excellent. Netflix surprises.
"Adolescence" is a unique experience for everything it offers to the viewer and the miniseries genre. Its entire atmosphere, narration, context, and social critique are incredible. Increasing considerably with each episode from a psychological aspect for each character.
Director Philip Barantini stands out every second for his exceptional long take. A marvel for fans of this directing style. Phenomenal how there is so much talent in scenes without cuts or pauses, worthy of applause, please. Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham created a gem.
The miniseries is at a high level due to its great quality of performances, each actor makes it convincing and formidable. However, the most remarkable aspect is Owen Cooper's performance in his role as Jamie Miller, where every expression, body movement, voice tone, and level is brilliant. On the other hand, we have Stephen Graham, who plays the counterpart in his role as Eddie Miller, the father. We already know the quality of this actor, but without a doubt, he is excellent. Each scene is impactful, convincing, and creates a strong connection with the audience.
"Adolescence" with just 4 episodes fulfills its purpose and has been a great surprise. It starts in its first episode with everything to hook the audience. Being able to visualize that entire sequence was one of the best parts, not to mention all its narrative plot and its executions. From my perspective, the third episode is a true gem, it's real cinema.
The reflective and psychological messages that this miniseries delivers are formidable. Portraying themes such as lies, double personalities, anger, deceit, lack of communication, the parent-child relationship, neglect, the impact of social media, the lack of education regarding new generations, freedom before control, bullying, adult negligence, fear, psychological interest, and constructive criticism of current society is brutal. In each episode, we have interesting themes, but during the second and fourth episodes, the story is further complemented from the perspective of the environment of all those involved, analyzing the character of each character and their evolutions over the elapsed time.
One of the best miniseries of the year so far. Good proposal from Netflix. It's worth it and you will definitely enjoy it.

A surprising short film for its premise and the way it conveys its reflective messages, focusing on art, talent, motivation, and decision-making to achieve perfectionism.
"Burnout" is entertaining and well-crafted with its moving story that covers interesting themes, reflecting the growth in the tastes of highly talented individuals, where they undergo a transition process of doing things in the best possible way and are led to both positive and negative thoughts that are rooted in a performance function.
In its positive aspects, I like that way of connecting with the viewer in its first seconds without wasting the experience, offering a decent color palette and fulfilling movement sequences. Everything related to the environment where our protagonist is located is fine, not something spectacular, but it serves its purpose. A simple job that deserves its merit. Director Lourdes Báez does admirable work.
Covering themes such as perfection, the love of art, overcoming challenges, obsession, self-imposed barriers, support seen on social media, optimism, personal adversities, mental lapses, motivation, negativity, among others, are seen and depicted in an excellent manner.
Since it is an animated short film, among its negative points, it can be mentioned that in its final seconds the animation does not conclude as it began. However, it is more evident that the story feels somewhat rushed and slightly diminishes the sensation created at the beginning of the short film. Perhaps with a few more minutes, more context and a solution to the problem could be provided.
Nevertheless, I think it delivers. From my perspective, it's interesting and has surprises. You can easily connect if you create some product and at times you burn out from not being satisfied with what you've created, for that and more "Burnout" has my recommendation.

An entertaining movie that delivers on its promises, it doesn't cover themes as deep as its original novel, and despite being another adaptation, it is solid and stands out as a good post-apocalyptic setting film.
"I Am Legend" offers you a unique experience over the years. Its significant changes from the source material, its execution, and the development by director Francis Lawrence are noteworthy. We can observe some very interesting shots with the entire post-apocalyptic focus, which are very well done and fitting for this adaptation. One could write that it is one of those few movies that age well and many viewers hold dear because of the impact it had in their childhood.
From my point of view, I think Will Smith is right; he gives a straightforward but very solid performance. His role as Robert Neville is pleasant because it complements the story depicted on screen very well, where the actor performs admirably. Some expressions, the tone of the voice, that connection he has with our protagonist Sam, and those movements of desperation and more are decent.
I want to highlight every second on screen that the dog had as Samantha. Brutal, too epic, funny, exceptional, and without a doubt, she steals the scenes. The level of intelligence of our dear Sam is applause-worthy. A German Shepherd that steals the hearts of the spectators.
The film covers themes such as loneliness, solidarity, love, survival, chaos, teamwork, the law of the strongest, companionship, hope, extreme moments, the importance of science and its proper use. Additionally, the human capacity to end their own race, the criticism of humanity and its darkness, judging others for their physical differences without knowing the original intent, the loss of sanity due to so many traumas caused by the deaths of loved ones.
"I Am Legend" has some well-executed cinematic aspects, such as the environments, some camera sequences to demonstrate the aforementioned, the soundtrack by James Newton Howard, the staging, the design of the infected (which, despite being different from the novel, fulfill their role with their pale humanoid appearance), among others.
Perhaps among its negative points, we can find the dip the plot took before an important rescue; the movie tries to add another twist, but it feels very conventional. The CGI is very unconvincing and has many details, knowing that for 2007 it could be said that "they were fine," I think it lacked more rendering, as the difference between the real appearance and the effects is more than evident.
The movie received various criticisms regarding its change in the ending, but it will always depend on each viewer. It is common for screenwriters to add their essence, whether in a positive or negative way.
"I Am Legend" is entertaining and always worth any opportunity.
The essence of Shrek and Bob Marley helps to grow the connection with the viewers. We have some references in various posters to the musical Wicked, Batman, and Superman.
