How could anybody, but a 12 year old and not a very bright one, give this so called blockbuster a rating better than 5? Its full of reused material from other grade B sci-fi from the past and only has the kids as a way to get an audience to believe this is good. Its a kids movie and if you keep it on that level, maybe its a 5. As an adult I could not bare to see the next foolish and predictable scene.

If Spielberg can put this trash out and be a billionaire, there is something very wrong with American education. The whole story was foobar and way outside anything even remotely worth the price of a theater ticket if that ticket was more than a dollar.

After reading some of the dismal reviews by some posters I am wondering if we watched the same movie? What I often find is many a children and immature, and feel they have the competency to review drama and great art. None sense, children with your popcorn boxes and shallow minds.

There is not much more Mindcat can say that has not already been said by the truly intelligent reviewers here. The movie is a gem and is so far removed in quality at every level from the Hollywood block-bonkers, it probably stuns some of the deer here in the headlights.

See the movie if you have an IQ of 120 or better, you'll love it on all levels. Children stick with Mickey Mouse and the Cadavier that Ate Chicago.

I mean, every time Nelson opens his mouth... like " Are we in Connetecut Yet Dad?" So bad it has to be a comedy. Please tell me it was produced as a comedy? I picked it up at a food store video section reduced from 5.00 dollars to 3.00.

I am sure this will be the center piece treasure of somebody's hilarious old Sci Fi movies someday very soon. I watched it almost to the end for laughs. It was to me the funniest movie I've seen in a while.

Go get these on sale, while they last, because I think there won't be any remastering anytime soon.
