This is quite an interesting episode. I personally think that the plot just abandoned Percy after the beginning of the episode. I just wish the writers didn't abandon Percy and instead show him being rescued by Thomas or at least by someone. Anyway, Thomas was wrong to scoff at Percy's snow predicament. But the blue tank engine got a taste of his own medicine when he got stuck at a snow block himself. I like how Rusty the Little Diesel told Thomas about Skarloey's predicament with snow. First we got Skarloey doing his work then we got some Troublesome Trucks crash into a snowy ravine. Then we got the snowdrift fall onto Skarloey burying the little red engine. However, what's even more interesting is that Skarloey's firebox made an igloo and when it was cleared, his driver and fireman were drinking cocoa as if nothing happened. I love how Thomas was interested in the story. The next part is even better as Gordon gets stuck under snow after weeshing steam at it. I like how Thomas says that the big blue engine can survive a snowfall if Skarloey can.
This is yet another intense episode. Let me start with the minor details. I love how Thomas and Percy are in this episode. I personally think that Thomas should've gotten more than one line. The blue tank engine only said one word and that was it. I felt like the crew could've used Thomas a bit more in this episode. Percy got more spotlight though as he was almost crushed by Boulder. I also like Edward's guest appearance in the episode. Now let's move onto the major details. A boulder being anthropomorphic and having a vengeful spirit. Personally speaking, the scene where a face mysteriously appears on the boulder is absolutely chilling. There were four victims of Boulder's wrath and they were Rusty, Rheneas, Skarloey and Percy. Poor engines, experiencing something horrific like that. The ending of the episode is also a bit unsettling as Rusty still wonders about Boulder. I wonder if Rusty was right about the boulder having a soul. But I hope he's wrong about it, don't you?
This is another spooooooky episode of the series. The episodes starts with a wild runaway with the silly Troublesome Trucks and then it shifts to a spooky vibe. While true that Peter Sam and his driver could've secured the Troublesome Trucks properly, the accident was mostly the fault of the Troublesome Trucks since it was their idea and that they're always like that. I personally wouldn't be too hard on Peter Sam since it was mostly the Troublesome Trucks responsible for their own accident. I also love how Duncan got his karma for teasing Peter Sam. The theme music used for Duncan getting spooked was a masterpiece as it emphasized the spooky vibe of it. Clever how Duncan's crew teamed up with Peter Sam's crew to play a trick on the little golden yellow engine. The bridge scene where Duncan was on the bridge was most definitely spooky and scary. But that's what makes the episode exciting. The scary Thomas episodes are also exciting.
