Danish horror-thriller at it's finest. Big shame that Denmark has never released any good films in this genre. 'Cecilie' has got nothing new in mind. This movie sadly repeats clichés seen a thousand times before. I would recommend any average Bollywood-flick on ghosts instead of this useless waste of time. This is a haunting-story like most of them; the dead returns in spirit-form to undo injustice perpetrated against them in life. There's nothing disturbing or the least scary in this classic setup. Unless you're maybe totally new to these kind of films. What is really frightening is the lousy screenplay, lacking any interesting plot-events or the least original initiative. Sonja Richter normally seems talented. In this film, though, she seems utterly talentless, burnt out & is lacking any chemistry with her male counterpart. She's not at any point believable and she's not able to keep one's interest in this by all means ridiculous film. It saddens me that the danish film industry spends money on such worthless movies. All known & talented actors are casted, but none of them able to raise this movie above the ridiculously dull, lame and unoriginal.

people giving this worthless movie 10/10 must be mentally retarded or personally involved with cast, crew or director. This is painfully embarrassing, amateurish & unoriginal. A stain of shame on the danish film industry (which is already lousy, this just beats all). AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Classic haunting-flick; dead returns in spirit-shape to avenge injustice. NOT scary. Not well acted. Not funny. Very sad release, I can't believe there's been spent time and money on this utter crap.

Some of the actors are very famous in Denmark. Hopefully their careers will look very different after saying yes to this BS.

How could anyone ever love this movie? Why would anyone spend their time commenting positive words about this piece of absolute junk? Average acting almost conceals the too-obvious horrible screenplay - but only for 5 minutes. Hereafter everybody must be aware that this script should have never seen the big screen. This thing could belong in a theatre, absolutely not on film.

Characters often sing, takeover each others lines and moves around in a highly stylized postures, everything you'd expect from a theatre-performance. I've noticed that most of this films positive-minded commentators write in a very academic tone. I'ts no wonder, cause this is what this film is based upon; top students headed for Campbridge and Oxford - their academic skill set and knowledge is the main focus. This focus results in a very annoying tone where personal issues are treated secondary and the educational aspects are constantly in the foreground.

The personal subjects surrounds sexuality and other aspects about the strings between childhood and adult life. But the characters never deliver performances trustworthy enough to make you care. The least. I really think this project is a waste of time and money. And I think the commentators inhere giving it 8-10 must have some kind of relationship to this film which redirects their objectivity - maybe it's nostalgia, maybe it's the educational theme that wets some of the academics out there. I'm a candidate in literature myself and this doesn't change the fact that I found this movie is absolutely horrible.
