Many war movies that are made have tragic events within them happen and then send their heroes home safe and sound without question, like American Sniper for example. But Platoon is the most violent and depressing war film to watch. You question at every second whether someone will get killed or not during a battle. Starring: Charlie Sheen, Tom Beregner, Willem Dafoe, Keith David, Forest Whittaker and Francesco Quinn. Platoon is also written and directed by the great Oliver Stone. Who makes this war movie a very gritty and an extremely hard one to watch, but it's for the good of the film not the bad, because you can feel what the characters are actually going through, and in Platoon you get a lot of character development and you become invested in these fictional soldiers so when the battles happen you actually feel emotional and depressed when each character dies, not like they're a cardboard cut out or designed from a piece of paper. One scene that stuck out to me that was extremely emotional was how Charlie Sheen's character, Chris finds out that Willem Defoe's character, Sergeant Elias is still alive as he and his team sees him running in a field, as he himself, along with Tom Bergener's character, Sergeant Barnes. Chris and the rest of the team watch as Elias is gunned down by the Vietnamese soldiers and dies. We see in this scene that Chris looks at Barnes as he now knows that he had shot him earlier causes him bad injuries which made him unable to reach the helicopter earlier, which sent him running for his life, resulting in his death. This in turn causes him to want to take revenge on Barnes. This is an example of a super depressing yet extremely violent and intensely graphic scene in Platoon that makes this war movie more sad than The Deer Hunter, and that movie set the bar very high already. The story is amazing and everything does come together neatly but this is another war movie that regular movie fans need to be aware of how depressing and how violent the war scenes are. I am going to recommend Platoon, Oliver Stone is an amazing director and he directs this movie with an amazing yet strong and hard style, just know that this isn't a war film that will be easy to watch, so I do advise a lot of caution when deciding to view this one. But it is a classic, that is for sure.

Directed by the extremely talented Josh Ruben, Heart Eyes deserves all the praise in the world. Having seen Mason Gooding in Scream 5 and Scream 6 as Chad Meeks Martin I knew that he was super talented, and that was one of the reasons why this movie shined so brightly. Heart Eyes In brief is about a pair of co-workers who are mistaken as a couple after a one on one business meeting at a restaurant on Valentine's Day by The Heart Eyes Killer. A serial killer who is known for going after couples and brutally murdering them. With other great stars in this horror film like Jordana Brewster (The Fast & The Furious Franchise) and Devon Sawa. Heart Eyes has what I believe is a perfect main casting choice. There are a lot of great twists and turns and mystery aspects that remind me of the Scream Franchise and that's not a bad thing, if anything it's a shoutout and a compliment to that franchise. Horror fans will definitely dig this one. Upon writing this review I already discovered that some people didn't like Heart Eyes and I don't understand why, I do have to question the age of those people and wonder if those are people in their late 70s and 80s who are the kind of folks who don't love to have fun when it comes to movies and believe that films should be used for educational purposes. I mean really, those people are being downers. Heart Eyes is a blast for all horror fans. Every single frame of this movie is extremely crafted and lovely patterned when presented to us, and until the scares kick in we might forget it's a horror movie and picture it as a romance film for awhile, but once the blood and guts and the violence start to happen on the screen, it's a big scream and bloodbath for all horror fans to enjoy in a safe environment with a great fictional story being told visually. Some examples of some gruesome parts are the opening scene and one of the scenes towards the end. If you're not a horror fan you clearly won't like Heart Eyes, so just know that going into this movie. I do strongly recommend Heart Eyes for all Horror Fans. Another piece of this movie that I loved are the special effects, I dug the special effects. Amazingly done and extremely realistic, and they were included with jump scares at times which is amazing, that was a great call on the filmmaking part. Josh Ruben definitely deserves a lot of applause for that. The only thing we need from Josh Ruben for Heart Eyes is definitely a sequel.
