The age recommendation of 9+ months may be a little young. I'd probably guess maybe over a year. Though maybe it's just the preferences of my little 10 month old girl that she doesn't like it. Less than halfway through she starts whimpering and then crying. There's also a UFO between some of the segments that repeats a few times. Not sure if I want my baby to think there are really UFOs. As an adult, I find the video more interesting than the other Baby Einstein videos, but it is slower paced. The music is very subdued and quiet. The other videos seem to have upbeat music with a tempo. I won't resell the video yet, maybe she'll like in another year???

My baby's second favorite out of the Baby Einstein videos (Baby Neptune is her first favorite). She definitely enjoys both. She screams with delight with Baby Van Gogh. It's definitely a 9+ months age recommended. She started enjoying it around 9 months of age, and I know she enjoys it because she laughs and watches intently, and if you get in between her and the TV set while Baby Van Gogh is playing, she gets quite frustrated with you. I think she is definitely learning colors with the video. Since she started watching the video, she can now identify colors on the Sesame Street toy. When it says "find the red drum" she actually pushes the red drum. At 10 months old, I think that is pretty good. I think the Baby Einstein video taught her the colors, not the toy.

The suggested age is 9 months and up, but my little one has been enjoying the video from age 4 months. She's enjoyed Baby Neptune more than Baby Mozart, and Baby Mozart is 0+ age. She just loves the water and the kids in the video. I enjoy the video as well. It has good music and watching the water in the ocean and on the beach is relaxing. Watching the video gives mom and/or dad 20 to 30 minutes of relaxing time, especially if they have a colicky baby. I'd definitely recommend Baby Neptune out of all the Baby Einstein videos, probably followed by Baby Mozart as a second pick and Baby Van Gogh as a third pick. Though my nephew loves On The Go the most. If you don't want to spend money on Baby Einstein videos (really having more than one is probably for the parents to have some variety-I think the babies could probably watch the same video over and over and not care), then buy them used on ebay or in a baby consignment shop.
