Sure the leads were not the same age etc. And did not make a perfect love combo. But in real life that is also the case in many situtations.
On the other hand the leads were perfect for the parts as were the two kids. Such a true story line, rushed perhaps but they only had 90 minutes to tell the story. I'm sure if this was a major hollywood production it would have had a lot more backstory.
Kalinka Petrie (the nanny) Jefferson Brown (the father who lost his wife), Ariella Cannon (ie: Brown's daughter) and Jayden Kirton (ie: Brown's son) are all outstanding leading the cast.
Yes, this is a fast moving movie that tells some very complicated emotional stories.

This bad movie is Disjointed with very LOUD music, which plays havoc with the dialog. Michael J. Fox does his best but nothing can save this lousy movie. Scene after scene is simply bad. How anyone financed this bomb is beyond me. Starting with the screen play it is flawed and that flows into the working New York City portion of the movie, which is not much better. How this movie ever got made is beyond my comprehension, but here it is on Netflix to discourage anyone who thinks this is an entertaining production, friends it is not worth a minute of your time, stay away. It was done at Universal so their requirements at that time must have been very low.
I thought Fiona Gubelmann and Torrance Combs were sensational in this movie. In fact I enjoyed the entire cast's performance. Yes, the story line has been used before however Fiona Gubelmann's performance made it a special film for me. She was funny and carried the entire production. I have read all the poor reviews, which I believe are absolutely wrong. The scenery was spectacular and Hallmark obviously spared no expense to make this production first class. In conclusion for a Hallmark movie to keep me entertained for 90 minutes is unusual. Yes, I truly enjoyed this movie and highly recommend it to everyone.
