It is interesting how a previous comment on this movie was unflattering. In my opinion, this was one of his best. True, it's not as good as Out For Justice or either Under Siege flicks, but I still liked the action and the storyline. The fight scenes were great too (let's be careful to compare any Seagal fight scene to the great pool room scene from Out For Justice). I didn't think the country music was that bad (good grief, it was set in Kentucky). What else do you expect??? I'm a country music lover, so I am biased. Also, I think the country music singers (Mark Collin, Randy Travis, etc.) who had parts in the movie did an excellent job. Overall, it's worth the purchase price, and a fine addition to your collection.

Touched by an Angel still ranks as one of my very favorite shows. Sure, it was a little cheesy and syrupy at times, but you knew that going in, and you watched it for the message it delivered.

But I can sum up the impact it had on me, and could have on you, in one sentence:

"It's the only TV show that regularly made me cry."

It was so good, it spawned another superb show called "Promised Land."

If you've not seen it before, then make a point to catch it re-runs. You won't regret it.

First, let me say I am a HUGE Steven Seagal fan. I have all his movies in VHS, and have added many of them in DVD format.

When I read the summary of the movie, I was excited because it seemed to be along the lines of some revenge, which I've always felt has been his best work, be it as a cop on revenge (Above the Law, Marked for Death, Hard to Kill, Out for Justice), a military man (Under Siege I and II) or an environmentalist (The Patriot, On Deadly Ground, Fire Down Below).

Well, don't believe what you read.

To begin with, the movie was too short at only about 90 minutes. That tells me they chopped it too closely, and it shows in the presentation. The movie moved too fast for realism (an extra 30-45 minutes could've done wonders), and it's interesting how he kills the bad guys in the order of this Chinese code, which he uses at the end to open a safe that contains information which shuts down the bad guys, of which he pretty much killed anyway. And he was all over the place, from China to England to the U.S.

Overall, and it really kills me to say this, but this is clearly the worst Seagal movie I've ever seen. Immediately after watching it, I had to put in "Fire Down Below" just to feel like Seagal was still the man.

I know the man is getting older, but he's still capable of putting out good movies (Exit Wounds being a good example). The last three I've seen (this one, The Foreigner and Half Past Dead) have paled in comparison, and I can only hope the newer ones can help him recapture his stature.

Is it time for an Under Siege 3? Or maybe an Out For Justice 2?
