This could have been a foreboding, ominous, mysterious thriller........but it lacked several crucial items:
1. Actors who could act. No one was able to take the situation seriously. The lead actor is the same person from the Army of the Dead zombie movie(he was the safecracker). He only has one look(deer-in-headlights) and cannot exude any other emotion. Everyone else was acting like caricatures of movie characters.
2. A cop, two scientists, an IT programmer, and a mathematician, and no one can make an intelligent decision. They purposely made the wrong one to move the movie along. Which brings us to.... 3. AI script.....this is was so obvious an AI script as it just did standard dialogue, standard characters, standard plot devices.
Sad, because the premise was good.

Maybe it gets five stars for the drama....but that is it. First of all, this is a drama first, exploring three brothers with each of them having mental illness(the movie does not say this, but that is the only way to explain the decisions made) and how they deal with the death of their mother and the revenge death of their father.
The problem is that the movie only exists because of the movie. Trained hunters shooting deer 100 yards away should have no trouble shooting a person 10 feet away, yet that happens a lot. Half of the movie does not happen if one, anyone, says what happens. Everyone is keeping secrets, which allows the movie to happen. Lastly, no one acts the way anyone would act when in danger; not even stupid people would do what they do.
Skip.

Someone with a fancy computer said, 'write a film set in a US Consulate in Germany with a woman with PTSD who loses her son, and there is a conspiracy'. Unfortunately, no one looked at the script or made changes when making the movie. Dumb writing throughout.
Good. There are some decent action scenes once you get past the 5'6 "120lb supermodel-looking girl tossing 6-2 250 trained assassins. Sorry, Hollywood. We have been unable to recapture the Linda Hamilton/Sigourney Weaver magic. I was about to give it 5 stars...until they let the villain explain their entire plan for no reason at all except for the audience's speech. Just dumb.
