First, I am not a game player. I watch the show as a show. The acting and writing for this episode is amazing. We are finally getting resolution to many things hinted at in previous episodes. The non-linear story telling may upset some people but I really think it works here. We are also now at the point where all of the pieces are on the board and the main story can proceed ahead at full speed.
Minor spoilers ahead (not enough to tag).
It is very good to see Pedro Pascal again (these are flashbacks) and he's as strong as ever. Bella Ramsey is also very much up to the task and matches his acting in some pivotal scenes. I cannot wait for the next episode!

The changes to the book don't do this movie any favors, other than moving the story from England to Venice. However, the biggest problem with this movie is that Tina Fey just don't work here. Normally, I love her, so this is hard to say, but she really doesn't fit the part as Ariandre. First, she is American, and that is just all wrong from the start. Second, she is too young. Ariadne is supposed to be an old friend. Here, Tina Fey is more like Rita Skeeter from Harry Potter, if she were American.
Also, making this movie a creepy "Halloween" movie is interesting, but having potential supernatural things in the story doesn't fit the world of Poirot.
