Mbanshee

I stumbled across KF:TLC quite accidently and was pleasantly surprised at what I originally thought would be your usual shoot 'em up type show. Instead what I found was a show that explored a father/son relationship in ways I hadn't seen done. Chris Potter is excellent as Peter Caine...I found myself instantly drawn to the character and able to relate to his conflicting emotions about the return of his father. Peter Caine is the character that kept me watching the show week after week and the show was blessed with a good supporting cast as well.

Commenting as a New Silk fan (Tom and Cassy), I have to say that I have enjoyed the years with this team. The unnecessary T&A scenes have been toned down (thankfully) and we're left with an enjoyable series with two very likable leads. Tom (Chris Potter) and Cassy (Janet Gunn) were partners, lovers, married and divorced and now back to partners. Their relationship is what really makes the show for me. Tom is the kind of guy that any women would want...kind, sweet, talented not to mention very attractive and his friendship with Cassy, despite their differences, makes the show a great treat.

It's funny because I hated the trailer for this film and didn't even want to see it....I thought the trailer gave too much away, but I'm glad I was talked into it! I love a good thriller and Breakdown has it all. It moves at a much more rapid pace than I expected and I found a majority of it believable with possibly the exception of the "Indian Jones" style truck scene. Kurt Russell made me nervous just watching him...especially once he's been confronted by the antagonist and must make several crucial decisions that may affect his life. His sweaty scared hero is much more believable than some of the macho men Hollywood cranks out today. I also loved the villians...they were menacing and the fact that we're let on that they do this for as little as the cars that people drive is blood-chilling. Special "bad guy" kudos for J.T Walsh as "Red Barr" and Jack Noseworthy as "Billy". It was also a stroke of genius to throw in a family for the main villian. It made his actions all the more monstrous. So all in all...the suspense was intense, the plot believable, the scenery stunning, the bad guys frightening, the hero applaudable, and the movie the best thriller I've seen in a long time.
