Any time a writer tries to tackle time travel it's a sticky situation.. and this movie actually does a pretty good job of handling time/dimensional travel... so it's with great disappointment that the entire rest of the storyline and execution are so bad. I mean, really bad. An endless string of non-sequitur events, bad CGI "aliens", and an unexplainable ending. They could have focused SO much more on the development of the time machine, the alien influence, the aftermath, instead of things like school bullies, love interests, and dinner outings.

Ah well, better luck next time

I watched the first 4 episodes and was so underwhelmed with the story and acting that I just skipped to the last episode of Season 2 in order to get it off my Netflix "continue watching" list and I was amazed that it didn't inspire me to go back and watch any prior episode. I was able to piece together the entire show. Even the surprise ending wasn't much of a surprise and it would have been better if they hadn't tried for the "happy ending" cliche'

So very disappointing

It's been a very long time since I got to enjoy something as bizarre as Dorohedoro... the animation, humor, and absolute insanity brings me back to shows like FLCL and other early 2000s anime. If you need to be spoonfed your storylines this anime isn't for you; you'll be lost most of the time as to what's going on. But if you just sit back and enjoy the LSD trip, you'll get to enjoy the mind of one seriously messed up artist LOL
