It must be more than ten years ago that I saw this mini-series. Probably a period that I loved very dramatic films and books. But I can never forget this series. It was film so 'smooth' and 'rich' and especially the music was dramatic. I'm really curious what I would experience if I would see it these days. It's funny that the bible-borrowed title of the series announces that the clash between Kane and Abel will be very dramatic. That's very smart of the creators, I think.

Which really kept me on my chair, was the wonderful pianomusic during the film. It gave an extra atmosphere to it, which I think it needed, because it remained a game, to me. I wasn't able to believe that what happened to Van Orton was serious. So I laughed a lot but wasn't really touched by the story. It was all to much: the big house with the man all by himself. The videofilms of his youth which I didn't found logical. No, even the game I didn't believe. Maybe that's the reason why I laughed so much. I don't think that other people can always know how a person will react in a certain situation, even after 2-day-psychological tests. I have to much faith in the fickleness of us people for that, even for a person like Van Orton (why always these strange old-Dutch surnames in films?) Sorry for my English. Greetings, Renske Verheul
