I have a requirement that must be met before I can consider liking a movie. It must have a least one likeable main character. If you do have a likeable character then you don't have a reason to care. Even so, there are too many plot holes which makes the movie fall apart very quickly. One redeeming quality is that many of the assholes get their just deserts, just not all of them.
This was just a waste of film making. Give me a "Chucky" movie any day. Chucky was the character you love to hate. He had attitude and personality.
There was only one more enjoyable part in the movie, the 2 second M3gan dance scene.

A horror comedy right up there with Shaun of the Dead. A little on the darker side but cleverly written from beginning to end. It keeps you guessing on where the plot is taking you. The lead actor was perfect for the part, having sharp dialog delivered like Robert Downey Jr. When you think that it's all been said and done in the horror genre this is the perfect example to nix that conclusion. Done with very little CGI and not needing a big budget, those voids are more than amply filled with a strong lead actor and intelligent dialog. Reminds me a little of the move "The Spy". A masterly written screenplay. A movie you'll want to rewatch, a new horror classic.
I thought I'd seen every great mid-century comedy. Maybe I had passed this one by because the title sounded like a musical. This movie starts out as good as any Preston Sturges movie. Follow the dialogue carefully because their are some fabulously funny lines, some of which might pass you by. The movie does start to lose some of it's magic halfway through but it's still totally enjoyable. The ending is worth the wait; don't miss this movie! Jack Carson and Dennis Morgan were great; Joan Leslie comes across as sort of an opportunist but don't let that stop you from thoroughly enjoying the mid-40's comedic romp.
