... and it could be set anywhere in Germany. There is not authentic local color at all.
Götz Otto was in James Bond and Iron Sky, Ralf Bauer was in Gegen den Wind and cooked with Bio Unterreis, Carl Markovic was in Kommissar Rex and had his own spinoff as Stockinger and now they do this less than mediocre episode of Tatort. I do not want to say something bad about those three actors, because they were "stars" in the 90s and I enjoyed all their work back then. But the Frankentatort is the worst piece of dudu ever. Götz Otto got the James Bond part because he auditioned with the phrase "I'm big, I'm bold, I'mGerman," here, he is somewhat effeminate in his role. Carl Marcovics has such a nice Austrian accent and here he speaks high German as fake as the rest of the actors speaking Franconian. The guy working at the garage uses the word Suff for booze, a word nobody would ever use for spirits in Franconia. Ralf Bauer plays a bum, a role that is not suitable for him at all, and yet the three actors just mentioned are far superior than the regular cast. I said it back then after the first episode of Frankentatort and I say it again, "Reboot it!" The woke always wants black writers for stories set in the black community, Asian directors for Asian centric stories, gay actors for gay characters, and sometimes, I must say, rightly so, because if you do not do your research as writers, actors and directors, the stories, communities and characters depicted, that is foreign to you, just does not work if you are not native to it. But please, do the same for white local communities like Franconia, Swabia, Upper Palatinate and so on, because if you do not, like in this Tatort, it is so off, so bad, so cringe, so not Franconian, it is just not good. You woke TV creators lecture everybody if you mix up Coming Out and Outing. Alright then please also do your homework with regular folk, it is not "Suff" in Franconia, it would be "Penner Glück" or Schüttdiebrieno, maybe Fusel, but not Suff.
