Are they deliberately driving down the original NCIS? The season opener was weird enough and it just got worse in this episode. This show used to be super, but now it's deteriorating and spiraling downhill fast. In the two episodes of this season, the plotlines have been uninteresting and the typical NCIS humor is totally gone. The chemistry between the characters seems to have disappeared. The actors are like puppets performing a role they've rehearsed. Is this happening because of the screenwriters or directors or producers? The actors are still the same who put out a good show last season. Episode 1 rating of season 22 was below 8 whereas you saw ratings above 9 still in the previous season.
The concept is good, but the chefs going against the titans sometimes make better dishes, yet get less points. The random judges have their own preferences, of course. It'd be more interesting, if they changed the titans each season. Who reckoned these chefs to be the titans? Mei Lin beat the titans and won the belt in Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions, so she's more of a titan than any of the titans. Food Network recycles these chefs, getting tired of the same faces. It'd be great to see new chefs enter the scene, which TOC is now trying to do. But, of course, not all chefs want to become TV personalities nor have the time.
