When Hyperion employee Rhys, gets demoted by Hugo Vasquez, who becomes the new senior vice president by jettisoning the old one, Henderson, who promised the guy the promotion, he and his friend Vaughn overhears him making a deal to buy a Vault Key, and decides to go to Pandora to get it before he can. However, this would lead to a chain of events where Rhys teams up with Fiona, a pickpocket who made the key to scam Hyperion, resulting in an adventure where the two and their allies look for vault while on the run from Hugo.
Like almost any other game from Telltale Games, this is a story-driven game with QTEs and click-and-play elements. Like its other series, The Walking Dead, some parts of the story will actually change to reflect the decisions you make (i.e. actions done to NPCs or any environment will cause different dialogue to be said to reflect those actions). The game has five episodes, and during those episodes, you control Rhys at some parts of the episode (called chapters), while others, you control Fiona.
Each episode has a character who appears in the Borderlands game making an appearance (the first episode has Zer0, one of the playable characters from the second game, appear to help Rhys and Fiona, and Athena, an NPC from the first two games, who is playable in The Pre-Sequel, appears in the third episode), and the voice acting and graphics are amazing. This is one game I would highly recommend for those who like the Borderland series.

It's been a minute since I've played a Telltale game. Freaking love these games, and this is no different. Rhys and Vaughn quickly became one of my favorite borderlands characters... that is... until Loader Bot and Gortys makes their appearances. Seriously, what a great game. I won't talk about the story, but man, that twist was amazing. This game really made me fall in love with Borderlands all over again, and I can't thank it enough. Now onward to Borderlands 3!
A by the numbers Telltale game dealing with one of my favorite video game franchises. I really enjoyed it! Wish they'd done more.
this game really surprised me. I thought it would be like the other borderlands games ( an old west version of halo) but it wasn't. characters, lovable. story, complicated to explain but keeps you guessing all the time. and the pacing is great, not one boring moment. my only problem is that episode 2 has a little too much exposition, but I still thinks it has enough character to over-weigh that problem. the game also has wonderful animation. there are parts of this game were the imagery made me awe. telltale games, congratulations. you made one of the funniest, cleverest, most engaging piece of entertainment in years. Hollywood, get your thumbs out of your asses and learn how to make entertainment from these guys!
Tales from the Borderlands...let me just start by saying, I wasn't the biggest Borderlands fan...I liked the premise of the original games enough to come back and play the sequel and the pre-sequel...however, I believed the gameplay was kind of sloppy, and a lot of the virtual wasteland of Pandora lacked heart...then Tales came into the equation...and not only does this game have heart...it has it IN SPADES. Telltale rekindles the success of storytelling that they have achieved in previous titles such as The Walking Dead Seasons 1 & 2, and The Wolf Among us...to bring us another beautifully woven tale with characters at its hearth that are likable and relatable....Tales will take you on a ride back and forth from Helios to the beautiful yet tragic world of Pandora, it will tug at your heartstrings...it will make you look at the characters with Artificial Intelligence as if they have the biggest hearts of all, and you will truly feel for their plight. Telltale Games' Tales from the Borderlands is an absolute masterpiece, and if you haven't given it a look yet...well...what are you waiting for?

- TriviaA lot of weapons and gear that are found in the game are references to previous games unique weapons. The Stranger that captures Rhys and Fiona at the start of the game is wielding the Conference Call, a legendary shotgun from Borderlands 2 (2012). The O2 Kits that Scooter and Fiona use were introduced in Borderlands the pre-sequel! (2014). The strangest one of all is the Skullmasher sniper rifle used by multiple bandits in the game even though it is a legendary (very very hard to obtain) weapon in Borderlands 2.
- ErroresIn Atlas Mugged Episode in the intro when Fiona lets go of Rhys, her hat falls off her head and into the desert and is clearly pointed out, but in the next scene with Fiona and Sasha her hat is back on her head again.
