The Quiet Zone

Okay, this was quite a scary and disturbing short film. It moves beautifully between different realms, making it difficult to tell what's real and what's not. But then again, does that even matter? This is a horror short, so there's no beautiful story to expect-only one that's sinister, unsettling, and deadly.

In some ways, the main character-who looks like she's worked far too much and slept far too little-and her experiences reminded me of some of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. At the same time, we catch glimpses of something that could've come straight out of IT, Smile, or any number of horror films featuring that eerie, horrific grin that never brings anything good.

Overall, I think The Quiet Zone is a pretty decent horror short film.

This is by far the best short film I've ever watched, it had all the right elements to make a good horror short, I wish this was a full movie.

It had a good 'monster' and some cool effects, and it's one of the few short films that actually scared me.

I'd definitely recommend it to someone who likes short films and who likes to get scared!

The director knows what you expect. and he propose, using old pieces from classic films about same theme, a good story, good performance and smart use of nuances. the sound and image are good points. the tension is well created. like the chill. and the few small errors are not significant to this decent trip across the fears. the remarkable detail - the reflection of the states of the lead character and the turn from the second part.
